Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the engineering sector and a proven ability to manage projects from initiation through to completion. This role requires excellent organisational skills, stakeholder management, and hands-on experience using project management databases and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and deliver engineering projects in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, programmes, and risk registers
Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery
Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, health & safety regulations, and company procedures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation using project management databases and systems
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Project Manager within the engineering sector
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong working knowledge of project management databases and tools (experience is essential)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APMP or equivalent)
Engineering-related qualification or background
Experience working on complex or large-scale engineering projects
